Popular belief has it that the universe is comprised of atoms. In reality, the universe is actually made up of…

William should have done the deed by now and Fiona begged him to do it but he held steadfast to his faith, hoping against hope for a last minute miracle, a one in a billion chance that his wife had been blessed with an immunity to the infection.
His countless nights of desperate prayer had been for naught, but even now, as she was turning, he couldn’t bring himself to end her wretched existence.
I actually wonder if faced with a similar situation in real life, what would I do?
Would I just end it for the other person without a shred of doubt?
Knowing that their existence would be something they are clueless about.
Maybe a painful lingering on without respite.
It’s a tough call. Have to know it to feel it.
Good one, Rhyan. 🙂

You’re not alone in this.
As with most stories of this ilk, the decision is always made after the “Act of Mercy” grace period has passed. It’s much easier to do them in when they’re a full-blown monster and it becomes a battle for survival of You vs Them.
