ABOUT ME

Who am I? If you don’t know, you better ask somebody!

What’s that? You asked somebody and they didn’t know who I was, either?

*Sigh* Okay, let’s give this a shot:

Of all the tales woven on these interwebz, few are more strange as that of Rhyan Scorpio-Rhys.  Cursed, apparently, on the ferry to Isle of Staten during the Winter of our discontent for denying the existence of his hybrid Human/Muse progeny and compelled to forever navigate between the worlds of the Mundane and Mankind, and subsequently known in all the strange and wonderful lore of both realms as…  HED (Hermetic, Extremely Dangerous).

If encountered, never feed from your bare hand.

Pardon me? You say you’re still not satisfied? Alrighty then, here’s the boring meat of the nutshell:

Rhyan Scorpio-Rhys is a horror, science fiction and religious fantasy screenwriter, speculative fiction author with many short stories published and award-winning comic book writer. He has written numerous titles for Visual Assault Comics Press, including Genaissance: A Parable Scribed by the Shadowside of God, NIXA!, Maseo: Hero-Killer, Improbable Impact, Ruehl, Loam: the Intrepid, Mindset, Polymer Doll Isabeau, The Revenue Man, and the acclaimed Xeric Grant-winning Sofa Jet City Crisis.

Among his favorite authors are Harlan Ellison, John Varley, Peter Clines, Paul Tremblay, Blake Crouch, Neil Gaiman, Walter Jon Williams, Elmore Leonard, and Stephen King.

His favorite screenwriters include Billy Wilder, Joel & Ethan Coen, William Goldman, Paul Haggis, Paddy Chayefsky, Frank Darabont, Eric Heisserer and David Mamet.

Satisfied now?

    • Never been a fan of “Tell me something about you” as I think it’s better to discover people through the stories they tell.

Thank you for sharing your work. Prompt-based stories offer an interesting glimpse into the mind of the author.

And thank you for checking out some of my posts. It’s much appreciated.

    • I do have a parent of Welsh descent who passed when I was too young to remember, so I do not speak the language but the internet, being the wonderful thing it sometimes is, was able to provide me with the translation.

Thank you for taking the time to check out my site!

  1. Just read “Can You Keep a Secret?” Truly remarkable, How you went from the beginning, warped your way to a new section of his life with Vonda and the kids, and then back to that same rooftop, was superb!

    Well done!

How else can I support you?

    Cheers,

    Tom

    • As much as my life is an open blog, I hate describing myself. I prefer that people engage me in conversation and get to know me over a period of time, rather than plunk down a series of facts in a resume fashion.

As for your blog, Isadora, my absolute pleasure. I enjoy your work, so thank you for sharing.
